Alyce Wood was an expert gardener and her garden was the envy of most family and friends. She was also a master "roombox" builder. Alyce loved animals and took great joy in "feeding the critters" around her yard.
Alyce was always inquisitive. Her first introduction to small things was a visit to Woolworth’s department store when she was ten years old.
She saw a house of miniatures display and was hooked immediately.
School and life eventually got in her way, although she did some clay and pottery work in college.
About 15 years ago in 2010, she was retired from work and was able to purchase a small studio and her real talent began to flourish.
Her works speak for themselves.
Notice that in most of her work, she liked to put one of her “critters” for, she liked to say, a touch of life.
This site is a compilation of her works on display for all to see her legacy.
Her work was very personal to her and her talent speaks for itself.
